RECOMMENDED FOR: Home studio that needs good sound deadening qualities of 1" & 2" wedge foam, but at a budget-conscious price. Eggcrate Foam's style keeps its price low, yet allows it to absorb sound very well for the price. Eggcrate Foam is also a good choice for people who want to cover their sound deadening foam with acoustical cloth.Acoustic Foam - Eggcrate 72" x 80" x 1-1/2" Covers 40 sq. ft. Pyramid Foam
RECOMMENDED FOR: Home studio that requires decent sound control such as walls or ceilings (especially ceilings not parallel to the floor), but absolute deadness is not needed, nor required. Most effective on mid and high frequency ranges.
Pyramid Foam offers a bit of extra diffusion and slightly less absorption, so they offer a less dry sounding space then 1" Wedge Foam. That is why we do not offer Wedge Foam.
